Marintha Tewksbury has been practicing acupuncture in the Bay Area for over 25 years. She received her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1993 from the Academy of Chinese Culture & Health Sciences. Marintha has an insatiable curiosity when it comes to healing arts and continues to study a variety of modalities. She spent five years in apprenticeship with teachers of the Lauren Berry method of bodywork, four years studying Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute, and is now in her fourth year in the White Pine Institute’s Graduate Mentorship Program. For the past two years she has been a devoted follower of Toby Daly, acupuncturist and teacher of Sa’am acupuncture.

Marintha’s understanding of the body and its complex systems are also informed by her many years as a modern dancer and performer. She also draws inspiration from her experience child rearing as well as her relationship to her garden.
